Although BOTOX and dermal fillers are both injectable treatments, they work in very different ways.
BOTOX: addresses muscle movement. It is particularly useful for dynamic wrinkles created by repeated facial expressions, such as forehead lines, frown lines, and crow’s feet.
Dermal fillers: address volume and contour. Depending on the product and treatment area, fillers can restore lost volume, enhance facial proportions, or improve the contours of areas such as the lips, cheeks, chin, and jawline.

What to Expect During Your BOTOX Appointment at AWSkinCo+
Every BOTOX treatment begins with a personalized evaluation. Your injector will discuss the areas that concern you and evaluate your facial anatomy both at rest and while you make expressions. This helps identify which muscles are creating the lines you want to address and allows your treatment to be planned accordingly.
Small amounts of BOTOX are then precisely injected into the targeted muscles using a fine needle. Treatment is generally quick, and most patients can return to their normal daily routine immediately afterward.

Will BOTOX Make Me Look Frozen?
It shouldn’t—and this is where injector experience and individualized treatment planning matter.
The purpose of BOTOX is not to make every muscle in your face stop moving. The goal is to selectively reduce the muscle activity contributing to unwanted expression lines while maintaining balance with the surrounding face.

For some patients, reducing particularly strong or repetitive movement before lines become deeply etched into the skin can help maintain a smoother appearance over time.
However, not every young patient needs BOTOX simply because preventative treatment exists.

What happens if I stop getting BOTOX?
